Let Martin lead you on a journey to activate and explore the 3 principal centres of experience:the Belly centre of embodiment, where we learn to inhabit our experience ever more fully; the Heart centre of love, where we free up our undigested emotional life, and open to ever deepening care, joy and spaciousness; and the Head centre of intuition and wisdom, where we learn to disengage from habitual and counterproductive thought patterns, and train the deeper capacities of mind.
The weekend will include guided and silent meditation practice, explorations with Martin and inquiry exercises.
Martin Aylward went to India aged just 19 and spent most of his early 20s in Asian monasteries and with Himalayan hermits.
He has been teaching meditation worldwide for 20 years with an approach that is both playful and profound.
Martin has a deep understanding of how humans think and feel and get stuck, and a gift for helping them unstick themselves. He combines traditional Buddhist practices with psychological inquiry, a 21st Century engaged life, and a great love of the fullness of human experience.
Since 1995, Martin has lived with his family in South West France. With his wife Gail and their associate Ian Davidson, Martin co-founded Moulin de Chaves in 2005, a residential retreat centre where lives and teaches, and where their children grew up.
They also co-founded the Dharma Yatra pilgrimages through France, with more than 200 people walking in silence for several weeks, sharing teachings and practices and camping together along the way. He has led wilderness retreats in France and the USA, and with Gail, occasionally takes small groups of Dharma students to practice in India and Bhutan at the various places associated with the Buddha’s life.
Martin is a pioneer in offering online Dharma and meditation teachings, and today teaches online through a number of different platforms: He created Work Sex Money Dharma in 2011, running courses to support people in integrating transformational practices and meditative insight into daily life. He is also founding and guiding teacher of Worldwide Insight which offers weekly free, live and interactive dharma teachings online, and a director of Realize Media, where he runs regular in-depth, month-long courses, as part of a faculty of internationally renowned teachers. He also has a meditation app in French, called MIND (link: Mind-app.io)
